Saginet members have access to a "state of the art" video on demand server. This service allows teachers and students access to very high quality videos (MPEG 1 and 2) using a laptop or desktop computer. We are able to broadcast both live streams (distance learning events, satellite or cable t.v.) as well as stored content. Stored content consists of virtual field trips, training videos, professional development, Cable in the Classroom and Public Television programming. We store these videos and more based on the requests from superintendents, principals and teachers. Some of the content on demand includes Between the Lions, Career Ladders, Great Lake Shipwrecks, Shakespeare, Video Placement Series, and much much more.
The username and password for your school district has been given to your media specialist and principal. Ask them or call 399.7464 and get your authentication.
To view live streams, click "live streams" and a menu of streaming choices will appear, like cable tv, satellite tv, virtual field trips. Simply click the program and view.
To view stored content, click "Browse Video Library". This content is separated by folders. These folders include content that has been requested by teachers including PBS videos, career videos and much more. ALL teachers have access to ALL of the content. To view of listing of all titles
